NEW ORLEANS - 1-3-2017
Rain or shine, the OPSO Mounted Patrol Division was on Bourbon Street this past weekend, helping to ensure everyone's safety for New Year's celebrations and the Sugar Bowl festivities.
Starting Friday, Dec.30, 2016, four deputies rode horses along Bourbon Street Friday evening to complement public safety efforts in the French Quarter by the New Orleans Police Department and other law enforcement agencies. OPSO mounted officers were on duty three additional night through the end of the Sugar Bowl game on Monday night.
Pictured here at the corner of Bourbon and Toulouse streets are Deputy Nicholas Fishel, Sergeant Hazel Bowser, Deputy Sharhonda Hadley, and Deputy Reginald Moses.
Thanks to all members of the Mounted Patrol Division for your service to citizens and visitors alike.
